Privacy Policy
PillTail · Effective 27 September 2026
PillTail is a medication reminder app for pets. It is built so that your information stays on your iPhone. We don't run servers that receive your data, and we don't have accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
What PillTail stores
Everything you enter is stored only on your device: pet names, species and photos, medications and schedules, and the history of doses given, skipped or missed (including any edits you make to that history).
If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, this data is included in that backup the same way as other app data. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
What PillTail does not collect
- We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information or pet information.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- Pet photos are chosen through the system photo picker. PillTail only receives the photos you pick, and they stay on your device.
Notifications
Dose reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent through any server.
Purchases
PillTail Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a subscription is active.
Vet reports
When you export a PDF report, it is created on your device. It is shared only if you choose to share it, for example by email or AirDrop.
Deleting your data
You can delete a pet (and all of its medications and history) inside the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Children
PillTail does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
